Maintenance Agreement

Please read this and the Highland Lakes IT Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) carefully before signing. Please take special note of The IT And Consulting Service Addeudum. The AUP is located at http://www.hlit.net.

Highland Lakes IT agrees to provide (Customer's Name) normal maintenance on its computers and computer network to include but not limited to the following:

  • Maintain basic computer and network functionality i.e.: all hosts visible to network; all network printers functioning; network programs functioning properly.

  • Perform standard disk maintenance and defragmentation as needed. Ensure proper function of backup system.

  • Optimize system as possible. This includes pushing Critical updates to clients. 

  • General instruction given on use of system or any requested tutoring.

  • Verify Anti-threat software is installed and current if applicable.

 Quote: $XX.XX monthly.

If total work exceeds XX hours monthly, an additional charge of $XX.XX per hour on-site or additional charge of $XX.XX per hour In-house.

Please Note: This agreement does not cover emergency calls, hardware, software, operating system or application failure or debugging. In these cases our rates stay the same but we cannot guarantee our availability. We will respond as soon as possible. We also will try to schedule our service call(s) to best suit your needs, but cannot guarantee your operations will not be interrupted.

Early Termination: As per our AUP if you decide to cancel the contract, for any reason, before its stated duration above, you agree to an pay additional (1) one month fee in addition to any other owed.

Maintenance Contract Fee Details

  • On-site hourly: Negotiated.
  • In-house hourly Negotiated.
  • Time recorded to the minute. Rounded to 15 minutes.
  • Minimums:
    • Minimum monthly hours required and negotiated.
    • Minimum duration negotiated. Usually 1 year.
    • On-site 30 minutes.
    • In-house 15 minutes.
    • If no work required for month, contract minimum will still be billed.
  • Remote computer work:
    • In-house minimum.
    • Billed 15 minutes increment after that.
  • Travel:
    • In Marble Falls proper: None.
    • Outside the Marble Falls area time is charged one-way.
  • Phone work:
    • Talking to client:
      • Priority phone support. Your calls and messages are processed above all others.
      • First 30 minutes free.
      • Billed 15 minutes increment after that.
      • You will be told you are being billed.
    • Talking to others for client:
      • In house minimum.
      • Billed 15 minutes increment after that.
  • Proposal and quote work:
    • In-house minimum.
    • Billed 15 minutes increment after that.
  • We do not sell or mark-up parts or software. We help you buy them and will charge for time involved.
  • You will be notified before hours exceed contract for your approval.
